Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Bike Rentals

1. Where do you deliver?

           Answer: We deliver in Corolla from the Currituck Lighthouse area (south of the 4x4 area) down to Nags Head. We also deliver to Roanoke Island (Manteo and Wanchese) and also to southern Currituck County up to and including Barco.  

2. How old do you need to be to rent an E-Bike or a traditional Beach Cruiser?

Answer: You need to 18 years of age to rent. Why? You need to be 18 in order to sign a Rental Agreement.

3. What else do I need to have before I can rent in terms of documentation?

Answer     a) A copy of your valid driver’s license

                  b) Read, Accept & Digitally Sign the Rental Agreement and the Waiver for your Rental. (See Rental Buttons on the Home Page)

                  c) The E-Bike(s) or traditional Beach Cruiser(s) will need to be returned in the same condition as when they were deivered or picked up.

                  e) a valid credit card: VISA, Mastercard, Discover or American Express

4. Can I ride the E-Bikes on the beach?

Answer: NO. Between the salt damaging the derailleur and the electronics for the E-Bike, riding on the beach is not allowed. Any damage found upon return of the bike(s) resulting from riding E-Bikes on the beach will be charged to the renter.

5. What is the schedule for Weekly (6 Day) Rentals?

Answer: A majority of the rentals on OBX are Saturday to Saturday. In this case, we would drop off the rentals on Saturday between 12 noon and 8 pm and pick up the rentals on Friday afternoon between 12 noon and 8 pm. If you have a Friday to Friday or Sunday to Sunday rental, when you book the rental using our booking calendar, just choose either a pick up the following Thursday or the following Saturday.

6. Our retail store is open Wednesday thrugh Sunday. Rentals are available online for delivery 7 days a week. Just order online and we'll deliver!!
